I need Pizza

So, you want American hot Pizza for supper when you get in and your miles away from a Pizza Express,
or even a Pizza hut !

What do you do?

Here goes,

First you call your sweet man, other half, cintaku, or what ever you happen to call him.

Ask him if he could stop playing with Charlie (our dog) for a minute, and do you a favour.

He says, of course my sweetheart, what can I do for you?

Well cintaku, could you please find the small Tupperware container in the kitchen and start some bread dough for me?

Ok, honey, what should I do, He asks,

Did you find it?

No babe, you know where it is?

Yes cintaku, it in the bottom of the green cupboard in the kitchen,

Ok babe, I’ll find it, wait a minute, yes I have it.

Does it have the lid babe?

Yes my love, what next?

Can you put I large teaspoon of dried yeast in please,

Ok, I try to find it,

Where is it babe?

In a big jar on the second shelf down,

Ah ok babe, I found it,

How Much,

One large teaspoonful,

Ok, I did that, what else?

Thanks babe, now put a small half-teaspoon of sugar in, gula babe,

O.K. mr cintaku, I did that too, what else,

Put in two of the scoops of flour no please,

Ok, wait a minute, just doing that, ok now what?

Ok babe, now can you put in 1 mug of warm water, not hot and not cold, the hot will kill the yeast and the cold won’t work.

Ok babe, wait a minute,

You ok babe?

Yes I’m just waiting for the water to get hot, ready now,

Ok, can you put your finger in the water to check it not too hot,

(Iyan always has very clean fingers, he’s just that type of guy)

Yes babe, its fine,

Good, now pour it in and mix it all together,

Ok babe, doing that now,

Thanks babe,

What next?

Great babe, Can you put the lid on and burp it?

What Babe?

Put the lid on then press your hand down the middle and let the air out,

Oh, ok Babe, done it.

Thanks babe, can you just leave it on the side now for me,

Where babe,

On the biscuit tin is fine,

Ok, no problem,

Thanks babe, enjoy your day,

And you cintaku, bye,

Bye babe.

Then on the way home, after your massage at Spa Hati.

Pop to the super market and you buy,

A handful of minced beef,

A small can of tomato puree,

Some mushrooms,

A small green pepper,

Some cheese, your fave,

And maybe a beer or two,

(You know you already have onions, garlic, basil, thyme, olive oil, chillies, and bacon at home)

Then, when you get home to your loving sweet man and dog,

You take a look at what’s grown in the Tupperware,

Needs More flour, add some quick and stir really quickly, keep adding flour till it looks a little like bread dough, put the lid back on and pop on above the oven. Turn on the oven on low, and wait for your bread to grow.

Check your emails, ask cintku about his day, and cuddle your Charlie, tell him he’s the best dog ever, but would he mind leaving the kitchen now, he doesn’t of course, just looks at you, and keeps on following you around.

Now,

In the choppywizzer thing, you put, the tomato paste, some basil leaves, a bit of dried thyme, some olive oil, salt and black pepper, and a large knob of butter, (you always have butter in the fridge) then wizzz till smooth.

Next, chop your onions, garlic, chillies and bacon,

Pop in a pan and lightly cook in some olive oil,

Then add the beef, keep cooking for another 3 minutes till slightly brown,

Turn off heat and leave to cool.

Chop the mushrooms, about 3, and half the green pepper.

Then grate some cheese, cheddar Edam or mozzarella is good, but whatever you like is fine.

Thank Charlie for his help, and ask him to leave the kitchen again.

Grease a baking tray with some olive oil and flour as well.

How check again what’s happening in the Tupperware?

Looks like it needs more flour, add some and stir quickly again, then turn out onto the baking try and spread out evenly, making as flat as possible. Pop the try back on top of the oven, and turn the oven up to 200 °c

When its nice and puffy, pop it into the oven for 10 mins,

Take out and eave to cool for 5 mins,

Then spread with the tomato paste mix,

Sprinkle on your ground beef mix, mushrooms, green pepper and cheese.

Cover with ground black pepper, if you like that sort of thing (we do)

Pop in the oven, which is now nice and hot, and bake for about 20 minutes, or about when it looks nice and slightly crispy and good to eat.

Take out of oven and leave for 5 minutes before serving, as you don’t want to burn you mouth do you.

EAT.

Enjoy.

Tell Charlie No, but he might get some later if he’s lucky and a good boy.
